Account and data deletion

1. How ViaNaro accounts are created

A school, trust or other organisation provisions each ViaNaro account for the people who need access. You do not create your own ViaNaro account in the app.

2. How to request deletion

To request deletion, email privacy@vianaro.co.uk.

In that email, please include:

• the email address used for the ViaNaro account;
• the name of the school, trust or organisation, if you know it; and
• what you want deleted.

The email is the request. There is no form to complete on this page and no sign-in step.

3. Identity checks and who controls the data

ViaNaro may need to verify your identity before it acts on a request.

Where operational data is controlled by a school or trust, ViaNaro will handle the request with that controller. The school or trust decides what happens to the information it controls. ViaNaro processes that information on the controller's instructions.

4. What may be deleted, disabled or anonymised

Where ViaNaro controls the information, and it is appropriate to do so, ViaNaro may:

• delete or anonymise ViaNaro-controlled account data;
• delete or anonymise administration and support records that ViaNaro controls; and
• disable or remove account access.

What is appropriate depends on the request and on who controls each category of information.

5. What may be kept

Historic trip records and other operational records controlled by a school or trust may be retained where that controller lawfully instructs ViaNaro to keep them.

ViaNaro may also retain a limited amount of data where that is required for security, audit, legal obligations, dispute resolution, prevention of fraud or misuse, or other lawful reasons.

ViaNaro reviews each request. This page does not give a fixed deletion period.
